Studied Dramatics, Anglistics and Romance studies at the University in Frankfurt am Main. He is professor for dance research with focus on choreography and performance at the Justus-Liebig-Universität Gießen. He focusses his research on developments in contemporary dance and in postdramatic theatre with a close connection to performance and fine arts.
