Olga de Soto

Olga de Soto is choreographer, dancer and researcher in dance. After her training in classical and contemporary dance and music in Spain, she studied contemporary dance at the CNDC School in Angers. She has collaborated with M. A. De Mey, P. Droulers, F. Ruckert, M. Stuart, B. Charmatz and J. Bel. In 1992 she began her personal choreographic work. She has created many choreographic works that have been presented in Belgium, France, Spain, Portugal, Holland, England, Germany, Switzerland, Norway, Czech Republic and Turkey.
In recent years, she has been dedicated to projects of creation intimately bound to long processes of research, founded on an important work of documentation, in which the choreographer works with atypical temporalities entirely disconnected from the classical production logic. For the past few years, she has been regularly invited to lead workshops and classes, as well as to collaborated in lectures and conferences, where she shares her research methodology and her documentation work, which has as its main themes dance history, perception and transmission.
