What are the themes and issues relevant to the Directors of both Companies and Dance Training Institutions at the present time?

What are Directors in Germany looking for in the dancers they hire?  What are the issues that arise when Directors hire dancers directly from our Education system?  Where are the dancers they hire coming from?  What are the current preoccupations, challenges, worries and ideas or plans for the future?  How well informed are the Directors of both Companies and the Education Institutions, about the intentions of each other?

What could we do, together, to better the prospects of our graduates and ensure that the relationship between dance education and the dance profession is built upon shared goals, inspiration and an open exchange?

The AKT Member Schools are very pleased that Frau Dr. Christiane Theobald has accepted the invitation to an informal discussion with the AKT Members to dialogue about this situation. 

The idea is an initial brainstorming and to see which joint efforts or actions could be initiated and further addressed and explored as the focal point of the 2014 Biennale in Dresden.
