Born in Tokyo, Japan. He graduated his studies in Tokyo and London. After his graduation at West Street School of Ballet, London, UK he became a member of the Performing Arts Council Transvaal (PACT) Ballet in Pretoria, South Africa. Since then he danced amongst others with Ballett Schindowski of Schillertheater NRW, Tanzcompagnie Gießen of Stadttheater Gießen and with Tanztheater der Städtischen Bühnen Osnabrück. He worked with choregraphers such as Gregor Zöllig, Guy Weizmann / Roni Haver, Roberto Galván, Vera Sander, Jean Renshaw, David Bintley, Ronald Hynd amongst others. He is a regular trainer at the Tanzensembles in Osnabrück, Bielefeld, Kassel, Oldenburg, etc. From April 2009 to August 2011 he worked at the Japan Women’s College of Physical Education (Japan) as a teacher for contermporary dance technique and choreography as well as classical dance technique. Since September 2011 he is teacher for contemporary dance at Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln. Kojiro is certified trainer in GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS®.
