The Dance Engaging Science Workshops - Lecture 4 | Dr. Freya Vass-Rhee
The Dance Engaging Science Interdisciplinary Research Workshops, sponsored by The Forsythe Company’s Motion Bank project, are a series of meetings between researchers from various fields of cognitive studies, dance/theater studies, and dancer/choreographers. The project, which is intended to facilitate collaborative research across the participant groups, illuminates differences in their interests, methodologies, and expertise.
Simultaneously, it opens to critique the structures that dictate education within and across the disciplines. In this talk I take stock of the project in its current phase and suggest directions for educators of future interdisciplinary dance-science researchers.
