Panel_Bodyknowledge

The term „Bodyknowledge“ refers to diverse beliefs of how knowledge can be associated with the human body and its activities. Concepts reach from a knowledge, that the body produces itself, to forms of scientific regeneration of knowledge potentials, that evolve through dance and movement.

While somatic techniques are taking care about the former by questioning the body quasi from the inside, Oral History Projects rescue the knowledge of bodies in a given time and a distinct place and make it acessible to future generations. Based upon this background the Panel will discuss diverse forms of generating and transmitting Bodyknowledge.
