Trained at Doreen Bird College, and then at the John Cranko Schule in Stuttgart, Germany, under the directorship of Anne Wooliams. While still a student, first choreography for members of the Stuttgart Ballett, in a performance of the Noverre Gesellschaft.
From September 1976 until August 1983 dancer with the Stuttgart Ballet under director Marica Haydee.
From 1977 House Choreographer of the Stuttgart Ballet. Created thirteen ballets for the company, including various works for the prima ballerina Marcia Haydee. Guest Choerographer with London City Ballet, Northern Ballet, National Ballet of Finland, National Ballet of Peru, Irish Ballet, City Contemporary Dance Company Hong Kong, Ballet Philippines, Ballett St. Gallen, Ballett der Stadt Koblenz, Ballett des Nationaltheaters Mannheim, Ballett des Opernhauses Kiel, Tanz Stiftung Birgit Keil.
Guest Choreographer for the opera in Berlin, Brussels, Vienna, Frankfurt, and Mannheim. Choreographer for the film „Johannes Passion“, director Hugo Niebeling.
Since 1984 Professor of Dance at the Akademie des Tanzes der Staatlichen Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Mannheim. Since 1998 assistent director of the Akademie. Guest teacher with Ballett des Opernhauses Kiel, Ballett des Nationaltheaters Mannheim, Ballett Hagen, Peruvian National Ballet, Philippine National Summer School, Doreen Bird College.
